Living abroad as an expat can be a life changing and exhilarating experience. You’ve done something that most people on this earth have never experienced. Many people vacation and enjoy other cultures from afar, and may think that they’re in tune with other worlds, but compared to what you’ve accomplished they haven’t even scratched the surface.
In fact most of them have probably never even left the tourist areas.
But you’re part of a small group of expat alumni who – while all others were trying to strike up friendly conversations with their waiters or concierge (practicing their foreign language skills) – you were there in their neighborhood when they returned home from work. You were intertwined with their families, at their children’s birthday parties, attending their weddings. You were entrenched deeply with the locals and can now consider them life long friends.
However, as with nearly everything in life, things change and all good things must come to an end. It’s time to return home to your old life. To your old ways; time to leave your new friends and return to a world that is now just as foreign to you as this one was when you first entered as an expat.
People usually find this extremely tough and suffer from what is called Reverse Culture Shock…the psychological process of re-adapting to your home culture. In a sense it becomes a bit of a grieving process from a psychological stand-point. Everything around you has changed, you’re uncertain of your once familiar surroundings again, and you’re missing your new-found friends.
One thing is for sure however. Whether you realize it or not you’ve obtained a very essential skill. A couple actually! Skills that if were targeted in the right direction could actually be very lucrative for you in your new homeland.
Let’s put it this way. You know these people. You know their language, you know what makes them tick, and you know their worries and concerns. These are your people now. And one thing is for sure…you care deeply about them and want to help them survive and live a more fulfilled life in this country, just as they had reached out to you in theirs.
One very special thing that many new expatriates have found successful in doing to help these people – as well as themselves – is by becoming involved with a lucrative home business opportunity, and introducing this way of making a great living to them as well.
Joining a network marketing company that perhaps is centered on health and wellness, with a team that gives you a very likely chance for fast success is a great step for someone in your immediate position. Here’s why!
First of all it gives you an instant reason to rejoin a new familiar culture and bond new friendships, and partnerships. Second, you are exactly the person that these people need in their lives right now. Someone who, in a land of strangers and strange culture, understands them like an old neighbor does.
You speak their language and you come to them with something that everyone wants which is a way to earn a better more secure living, and a way to stay healthy (let’s not forget that many of these people don’t’ have health insurance anymore and would love nothing more than to avoid getting sick).
You yourself need a way to make a living as well and now’s the time to start. You want to get back in there with your old and new friends quickly, and there’s really no better way than by offering them a better way of life and better health.
As you get more involved with the Network Marketing business/industry, you’ll be using lots of wonderful MLM resources as well as focusing on a great MLM marketing plan to help to build your new business. You have the opportunity of achieving greater MLM success than you have ever had before…now finally it’s your turn!
